Shared Ownership Remortgage

Hi,

I live in a Shared Ownership Property & would like to remortgage for an extension. I know some mortgage companies allow remortgage but only to buy more shares in the house - has anyone remortgaged their SO property for an extension?? Does anyone know a bank that will allow this??

Thanks
Kelly

Do the other party who own the property give their consent for the extension? It seems strange that they would as this type of property is normally required to stay in the FTB market.

On my SO mortgage, i am not allowed to borrow any additional money, regardless of how much equity i have in the property. I'm with Halifax.

    Santander Credit Card - [STRIKE]£1400[/STRIKE] £1100
    [STRIKE]OD - A&L - £1300[/STRIKE] GONE!!!
