Some of the bargains I got were:

Ladies boot cut trousers £3 from £6 - alright for messing about.
Mens shirts, pack of two with tie. Taylor & Wright £6 from £12, ok for hubby's work.
Pack of six t-towels, £2 from £4 - always come in handy, for hubby. ;)
Mens trousers, Taylor & Wright £7 from £14 - again, ok for hubby's work.

    Lynsey

Thanks for that Lynsey. Glad you posted about the shirts as Hubby desparetly needs new ones for work and I probably wouldnt of looked at these otherwise!

Hoping to find some 18-24 month bargains or even bigger summer stuff to put away for next year :D

I was in one of my local stores today, half price in all departments that I could see (although obviously not all their stock ;)).

I picked up some new nightdresses for DD, pack of 2 for £3.00, and another single one for £1.75. They have quite a lot of Hannah Montana and HSM girls clothing items at half price. I saw girls sparkly pumps (loads of them) half price at £3 a pair too.

I was at a meeting in St Albans this morning, so went into this store. Lots of Christmas items stacked up inside the door and by customer services. Black trees reduced from £15 to £3, card packs 35p, tree decoration sets £1, santa 35p, candle centre pieces reduced from £12 to £2, large silver gift boxes with blue ribbon £1. I got a red ladies pj pamper set reduced from £12 to £2 and some silver boxes. I also got a lovely pj set and slippers to go in one of the silver boxes for £5 for a friends birthday. 2 pairs of £3 sparkly shoes (silver and pink) for my 7 year old daughter, dress and top for my 12 year old, pjs for me all half price. Hubby got socks as they were half price. They seemed to have a lot of baby items really cheap e.g. £1.75 for a 3 piece romper suit type outfit.

I wish my store had tons of baby stuff i only got some slippers for
£2 and a baby changing mat for
£4. There wasn't any baby clothes at all in the sale nothing for boys as usual like the op said but tons and i mean tons of girl clothes.

onefootmotu they had a baby duvet and a changing mat in the sale but that was it for my local. I have never seen a moses basket in mataln before i need one so if they were in the sale i would try and track one down.

Just back from Matalan and they had LOADS and LOADS of stuff in the sale, probably a little bit of every thing and I spent over £90

    I got;

Suit Jacket for Hubby £22.50 and 2 x pairs of matching trousers at £10 a pair - they had loads of £15 suit jackets and £5 trousers to match

King sized duvet cover £6 - very modern and bright

2 x pairs of Everlast Trackie bottoms at £6 a pair - also had matching jackets

5 pk trendy ladies socks £1.50 - again loads reduced

2 x mens stripy jumpers £3.50 each - nice thin type

2 x 2 pack of toddlers pyjamas £3 a pack - was also Peppa Pig and other branded ones.

Ladies top £2 - they had mases and mases of ladies tops, blouses, jumpers etc reduced

Bra and thong set £2.00 and 3 pk novely boxer style pants £2.00 - loads and loads of bras and knickers included if you were willing to rumage around!

Pair of first walker size black patent shoes £3 - quite a few pairs of toddler shoes, these have silver studs around the front and will save me buying expensive shoes just for a wedding next month

Lovely and dressy summer dress for toddler £4 - goes perfect with the shoes so a whole outfit for £7 :D

Probably more but thats all I can remember :rotfl:

Whoever asked about baby bedding - I had a look but nothing along the lines of sheets and blankets were included in the sale.

They did have baby grow bags in pink and blue (2 syles in each) for £4 each. Both styles were 2.5 tog, the grow bags over 12 months were still full price.

Would be great as presents or to buy a bigger size for this winter at that price!
