Quick update, phoned Choice to tel them how annoyed I was that they had taken the full money even though I said I didnt want the bag, then got it delivered anyway. The lady on the phone was lovely, she said that you do get charged the full amount then they credit your card with £15.00 a day or 2 later. So I said well I want to return this item anyway, she asked me to hold and was away for a good few minutes. She told me that she had spoke to her supervisor and becuase it was not cancelled by them yesterday that I can keep the bag and they have credited my card with £15.00. So very pleased, I will let you know when the £15.00 clears, she said it could be a few hours. So I would suggest phoning them if at all worried hthClixsense since 31.01.16 $122.13 Neo bux since 31.01.16 400 RR $1018.00

pls be careful with these codes ordered on three catalogues with same code and rang this morning to check something and they told me i am being investigated for fraud as i have so many accounts with the same company have since cancelled all my cards so they cant take any money out but just a word of warning in case it happens to anyone else they are obviously clamping down i was aware they can do this but didn t think it would happen to me lol0

[QUOTE=jenibob;
I know its probably not to everyones taste but for £1 you cant really complain
If your going to use a Littlewoods voucher code I suggest you use it on something half decent that you don't mind paying full price for in case they claim back.
Maybe most mser's on this thread are relatively new but I find it hard to believe that many still haven't heard about using the voucher codes issued by the Littlewoods group

People shouldn't be greedy opening lots of accounts then there'd be plenty to go around for the rest of the people0

well i received all of my items (from 4 of their stores not 4 different accounts at one store!) i'm a truly a new user for all of them so i was ready for a fight if they tried to give me a hard time.
anyway i called the bank today and yes, all of my discounts have been applied/refunded (i couldn't use a voucher on great universal it said all of about a dozen i tried weren't valid so i used a 30% off because it's a birthday present for my daughter)
i've had 3 lots of 15 quid refunded to my card (they take the whole amount out initially) so that's good PHEW!
i will say this, i shan't be using any more codes from them unless they are sent to me directly though. with the easy availability of codes on the net and the plethora of sites offering them it's very hard for many people to know that they may not be using a code that was meant for them. littlewoods has been having issues for years with codes so i really feel the onus is on THEM to fix their computer code so it won't accept codes from those that aren't entitled to use them
great universals site seems to be working as far as that goes, every single one i tried to use was still in date and for a first time buyer but still didn't work (ok theirs is overzealous!) but regardless i do think they need to take the lead and fix it rather than being sly and underhanded about things...doesn't inspire shoppers to be honest either does it? i am also less then impressed with them allowing you to checkout THEN email you and say 'oh btw we're taking the full amount out now and we'll refund you the discount when we feel like it' my order says i pay x amount and that's precisely what i expect (and in my opinion, authorise) them to take not a penny more!
given how they do this, it's another reason i can't justify them coming back and accusing people of fraud and suddenly not honouring their voucher codes even months later! they've held on to your discount for several days before refunding you, surely they do this to make sure you're allowed to use it, right? (ok i know they do it to make a little interest off your funds but...) if you just have ONE account and you find a voucher online and their system allows you to use it then i think you should be able to use it, those opening multiple accounts is just taking the proverbial p*ss but i think everyone knows what i mean.
ok rant over, lesson learned, much needed cheaply gotten birthday gifts and refunds received... PHEW!0 -
Code please, thank you. x0

I needed a new Iron & have managed to get a £45 Breville Iron reduced to £22 less £15 voucher code which left £7.00 to pay :j:j:j
Very Happy!
Thanks again

Sorry to quote myself but I have just checked my Bank A/c & Choice has taken £22 out of my account! That was 3 days ago, are they one of the companies that then refund the discount code back into your account? I have only received a confirmation Email saying the price ws £7.00, no cancelation email! Anyone else had this?

choice WAS one of the companies that refunded me. kays and littlewoods did too, i also ordered from great universal but only found a 40% (or was it 30%) off code that would work for them despite me truly being a first time customer so that came off beforehand and i was only charged the discounted amount of 12.60 to start with.
i'd keep an eye on them and keep the stuff bagged up and ready to go back if they don't refund you, but don't wait too long i think they have a short returns policy0
