I bought a really nice ladies work shirt from the charity shop a few weeks ago in the mind of using the fabric for a pump pouch (a bit like a bumbag) for my son but he didn't like the material.. sigh

Now, I love the material, but it's not my style so I'm in a dilema what to do with it. I know I can take it back to the charity shop and they can sell it again, but I adore the material and would love to make something from it...

Does anyone have any good ideas? Practical or funky-wise? There's me, hubby, a 6 year old boy and 2 year old boy in the house that could be 'gifted for', lol

The material is a lovely thick courdroy, in light and blue stripes (hence thinking it would be okay for a pump pouch).

So far I've thought of making a few rice heating bags for Christmas, or making the pump pouches anyway and giving them away to other friends who would also make use of them. But before I cut the material I wondered if there was something better I could make with it?

Thanks!

Hmm.. I hadn't thoought of a hot water bottle cover, especially as we don't have one so wrap it in a tea towel!

And the soft toys - I did think it would be ideal material but wouldn't have a clue where to start. I'm okay with a sewing machine but by no means fab :o. Oh and I've done sock monkeys before so wanted to avaoid making them again, just for varieties sake
