Anybody know whether this camcorder advertised at Currys is any good?

It would be OK but i would personally pay £30 more and get the Casio Z750 from Ebuyer which has the same spec video recording its not far off DV quality and you will have a top quality digital camera as well

I have the casio EXz110 wich takes the same quality video, on 640x480 setting (HQ) you only get 5 mins of video on a 512 mb SD card, so you would need quite a few cards to get an hours worth of video.

The camera is Brilliant and I have got some great pictures and video's too.

Nope the Z750 uses MPEG4 exactly the same as the Sanyo i can get an hour using a 1gb card on the normal setting and around 35 mins on the HQ setting and 180 mins on the LP setting ! ,the good thing about the normal setting is you cant tell the difference between the HQ ,the claim of 120 mins with the Sanyo will be on the very low quality setting
