Hi there,
Posted this over on the Green and Ethical board but thought I'd give this a go over here.
Does anyone know of a website where you can recycle your old electronics like games consoles or stereos and get money for it? Like the mobile phone recycling sites.
Thanks!

I'm too new a member to post links, but there's a site called Console Passion who have a buy & sell section. I know nothing about them, but a lot of people go in for retro games consoles these days. Maybe have a look for similar businesses & get a few prices. As for your stereo, it'll depend what you have (maybe your local free-ads?)0

Not an expert on this but I ould say companies like euronics & cash converters would normally take this sort of stuff to sell on, so they could be an option for any electronic goods that they might be able to sell. However you could try retail them yourself on ebay etc.
If its retro things that people want I would try sell on ebay myself or at a specialist place such as the games website mentioned by previous poster.
However if we are talking really old, broken equipment that nobody would pay for then the last option would be to try rip out the components and sell them as spares to an electronics shop in your area who normally fix these sort of things. Here to help and be helped!

You can sell or trade in electronics, games, CDs etc at CEX. You can do it online at their website, where you can search for what you have to sell and just see what you would get for it with them, but you can also go into their stores. You will get more for trade in but if you need the cash it is instant money in their stores.0

Also, a lot of muso types are going in for circuit-bending old consoles these days to turn them into synthesisers/drum machines etc. Even if it isn't in good working order, it could still be of use to the right person.0
