Credit Clean Up

Now that I have been discharged, I am starting the process of cleaning up my credit files.
I just quick question regarding the letters to be sent to creditors. Where a debt has been sold on to a DCA and the credit file is showing this as the creditor, do I need to send the letter to the original creditor or the DCA?
Thanks for your advice.
P.S. This forum is an invaluable source of information - would have been lost without it.

One more question. Now that I'm going through my credit file, I've noticed an account that was closed in 2006 but is showing a default balance of £1. I no longer have any details of this bank account so can't send a letter to them as I have no reference - is there a way I can get these details from the bank (it's Lloyds TSB)? Failing that, should I just leave it as the default date is 2006 and should drop off my report in 2012 anyway?0

2006 was before you went BR, right?
If so then don't try to get that date changed.
Without account details you will have a hard time getting it marked as settled, but if it drops off before the bankruptcy itself then it doesn't matter very much.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks for the reply.
One further question. A lot of my accounts have default dates that are BEFORE my bankruptcy date.
Do I still need to write to the creditors to get these marked as settled? If they drop off 6 years after default date, is there still a need for them to be marked as settled?0
