Problem is, I don't think he is trolling. I think he seriously believes what he is saying.
Makes me wonder if he is a very junior underwriter who is just picking up snippets here and there.

If he is a troll - he is very good, I will admit.

Optrex has proven to be corrosive when mixed with significant amounts of oil, which can escape from pipes or cars parked at the opticians.

I do not wish to get involved in a debate on politics because I try to spend any free time productively and give financial / insurance advice. I dont know Gordon personally, although a friend used to hunt with him. However, I know that his insurers value his contributions as Chancellor as it reflects his cognitive approach to business.

Im not familiar with Mornington Crescent, steph.

Fantastic stuff, I'm trying to imagine GB on a horse. Luv it.

I think the glass eye would fall out and he'd lose his peripheral vision.

JS101 - can you please confirm you do not work for Hiscox? It's the only firm I can think of with a domestic UW office in London.

no, i dont work for Hiscox, never occured to me really, i dont rate them from what ive read in post and the insurance times, not a trusted insurer. i work for a larger, more FSA compliant insurer.

i dont really understand your jokes apart from dacouch. at least im not the one still on the internet looking for companionship, a thai massage and writing in the forum in the early hours... and im the 'heisadick'.

When you actually write a home policy and know what youre talking about then come back to me. find me a contents writer who wouldnt hike the price if he knows about the topic.
  • The origional insurers wrote to us about renewing our policy. We wrote back stating that they had not mentioned we had been flooded as we didn't want any future claim to be invalid. They replied withdrawing the renewal saying they no longer insure anyone who has suffered flooding from the 2007 floods EVEN THOUGH the area has never flooded before.

We are not next to a river or anything. Simply got flooded in 2007 the same as everyone else in the area. Was totally random.

I was looking for suggestions as to where I could search for insurance. All the normal quote sites don't seem to work as as soon as you tick you have been flooded every insurance company seems to opt out.

We do think we have now found someone though - £30 a month with £4000 excess.

Glad you don't work with Hiscox - I'm insured with them hence reason for asking.

As for heisadick - you rather proved it with this post didn't you
I had a gas man not turn up once so when he did arrive later that afternoon i gave him one of a batch of doughnuts i knew to be off. they had made a couple of neighbours sick a few months previously but i had preserved them in the fridge. doused it in sugar and gave it to him. i sleep easy at night at the thought of his gutrot, never got a visit from the police so presume he lived! lol!
