To be honest, I have no idea about the prices generally, but the Poundland in Leeds regularly has 20 or so different WW items for, you guessed it, a pound each. I would suspect it's a national thing with Poundland so hopefully you have one near you...

  • If you have an iceland near you they do loads of ready meals (or at least my one does!) for £1.00 of £1.50 depending on the actual meal.

  • Amazon and eBay have Weight Watchers books cheap.

The Book People also do WW and Slimming World frequently (none at the moment though) :(

Play.com has some WW books, one of which has 60 receipes in it and is listed as £2.80.
Or you could try Ebay for any second hand.
Or you could try your local library for free. I've just borrowed a SW cook book (for a nose am not doing the diet) so you might be suprised what your local library stocks.

As for their foods - most of it's just far too expensive and not worth the money really. Make your own stuff is cheaper and better for you.

As already mentioned, Poundland sell quite a few items. The Tikka suace is really nice as well as the chilli sauce. Try the salt and vinegar hoops and the biscuits. Good luck with your weight loss, I have lost 16 lbs and have another stone to go and I am finding it quite easy at the moment.
  • I would definately agree with checking out your local library, that is where i have got a lot of my ww recipes from and copied the ones i liked the look of, as it seems if i ever buy a recipe book there are only a minimal amount of recipes i would actually do so it's a great money saving idea.

Also i tend to adapt recipes from magazines and the telly to make them more ww friendly keep them all in a little folder.

Iceland do have a lot of meals as someone has mentioned but if you make your own meals in bulk you could freeze them and have healthy cheaper ready meals in the freezer and then you know exactly what has gone in to them, although i must say some of the meals are tasty but i like huge portions so make my own to get more for my points :D
