this is harder than you think it really is - i'm also trying to lose weight and its hard as can't have food treat to reward the non spending and can't buy myself anything for not eating!
I think i need to go through all my clothes and rubbish (i am an eternal hoarder) and sell either at a car boot or e-bay although never done this before.
I have clothes there that i am ashamed to admit i have worn once or twice thta is it - i need to buy a new coat but am saving all my 50ps for that so will see how long it takes!LBM - 17/07/09:jVirgin - 2011 Smile - 3100 Halifax - 7800Deposit for house 4000/15000New York fund 250/1500 (paid for some tickets for NY trip with it!)I WILL DO THIS YAY!!!!!:easter_ba0 -
Sorry to poke my nose in - we are saving for another baby so I can take maternity leave for a year and not have to worry too much - if you brought something you are now cross about could you not take it back if you have receipt and tags still in? This is even better than a NSD! I have done this and the feeling is so much better than you had when you brought it - stay strong!!!0

hiya no taken the tags out :-( i bought a long cardigan thinking oh that will see me into the winter which it probably will but the £25 would be better going on a debt - well its done now so onwards and upwards - feel really ashamed off myself and given myself a good telling off!!! - will be leaving the cards at home and jsut taking cash with me.
I've done well in some respects - ive stopped 'nipping into m&s' and buying their nice food, stopped going out on saturday nights and having 'bed picnics' making sandwiches crisps and bottle of wine and watching tv! - i'm mad as i earn a good wage bu can't enjoy it :-(
Thanks for the encouragementxLBM - 17/07/09:jVirgin - 2011 Smile - 3100 Halifax - 7800Deposit for house 4000/15000New York fund 250/1500 (paid for some tickets for NY trip with it!)I WILL DO THIS YAY!!!!!:easter_ba0 -

Trying to manage on £50 a week - that includes petrol money and any extra I will pay off the cards.

Hi NMH
Hows it going?0 -
hi littleboots!
Well not too bad a weekend went out on saturday night and spent £20 and stayed in on sunday - although had to buy my friends birthday present so spent money :-(
This week from Monday to Sunday going to try and stick to £50 - which includes a tank of petrol at £30 - yesterday went to put and got 2 drinks and 2 crips so that was £6 spent......
Today i am having a NSD - i have about 5p in my purse and don't want to get any money out of the bank until i have to!
Just ordered tickets for the Christmas Spectacular show in new york - paid for on credit card (had no option as in states) but have paid it off from my new york fund (and a little extra) - whereas normally i wouldn't bother (hence massive CC debts!)
thank you for asking - how are things with you? :jLBM - 17/07/09:jVirgin - 2011 Smile - 3100 Halifax - 7800Deposit for house 4000/15000New York fund 250/1500 (paid for some tickets for NY trip with it!)I WILL DO THIS YAY!!!!!:easter_ba0 -
Have you thought about not carrying money/ cards when you don't have essentials (e.g. petrol) to buy? No spend days are much easier when they are can't spend days!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
