Anyone else been watching Gardeners' World?
During a hosepipe ban you are not allowed to use a hosepipe to wash your car or water your plants, but you are allowed to wash a patio or fill a swimming pool
Also, Karcher state that you cannot use a pressure washer that is connected to a hosepipe, BUT some of their models can be fed from a water butt or other still water source.

Fine, I incorrectly spelt plain. However, it doesn't detract from the fact that using a hosepipe in any form during a ban is illegal.
Just face facts.0 -

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact - it's more your attitude and response. Just take a chill pill. It's hardly life or death.

Erm, actually, you can use a hosepipe during a ban for the following:
To clean a patio, yard, path or driveway
To clean garden furniture or a dustbin
To clean a bicycle or motorcycle
Fill a swimming pool
Helps if you research facts before stating them!0 -
OK, I admit that I've never actually cleaned my patio (I like moss) but if i did, not having a hosepipe, I would use a bucket and a stiff broom.
I'm sure it's much more fun with a pressure washer though! (and I could really give those seagulls something to think about.....)0 -
Is it possible to put the end that would draw the water from the tap, onto a water butt & spray water onto flowers, wash car etc. Is it possible to adjust the force of the spray.Nice to save.0

I posted this offer because I felt it was a reasonable bargain - based on the fact tht I own this particular model. May I politely suggest that discussion on hose pipe bans belong on another board and not the "GRABBIT" thread.Mr. Corleone is a man who insists on hearing bad news immediately0

You're all too busy arguing with each other to do the obvious, i.e. check with your own water supply company to find out what uses are pertmitted during a ban.
For example, I live in the Three Valleys area where it's OK to use a hosepipe to water an allotment but not a garden. In the Thames area it's forbidden to use a hose to water an allotment.
On the Three Valleys website the use of a hose connected to a pressure washer to wash a patio is specifically permitted. But washing a car is forbidden.
Thanks to the OP for the bargain anyway! Can I help?0 -
