I need a narrow booster seat!

After the birth of our baby due later this year, we will need a backless booster seat to fit between two carseats and size is a big issue. It is only needed for the odd occasion that my 8yo stepson stays and we all go out in the car together which will be rare. Buying a new car just isn't an option unfortunately.

I've worked out that we could fit a booster seat of around 14 inches, but most seem wider than this.

I realise that the new laws later this year do allow a third child to use the adult belt with no restraint where two other restraints prevent it being fitted, but would rather use a booster if at all possible.

The Nania Dream seems quite slim but I've been given conflicting dimensions (35cm and 38cm - those 3cm could be crucial!) Most websites don't bother to give dimensions at all which is soooooo annoying. Can anyone suggest anything suitably narrow?
