Hi,
I need to update my will, and would like to know the cheapest way to do this, companies charge about £80, which I don't want to pay. Any ideas would be gratefully recieved, thanks.

I'm with the HSBC and they offered a free will writing pack. Not sure if it would be sophisicated enough for what you want, but it was free. Maybe have a word with your bank to see if they do something similar.
Alternatively, give the Citizens Advice Bureau a call, they should be able to helpYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

As someone who works in this area of law, I can't put forward the point strongly enough to get your will done through a lawyer - all sorts of things can crop up in the future, the law may change as it recently has concerning IHT and trusts, your family may extent or unfortunately family members may die. Many lawyers take part in Will Week which in my area is November, during which you can make a will and only give a donation to the law firm's chosen charity - that may be something to look into, just ring and ask. My company charges £85 plus VAT for a will, most wills are reasonably simple, you may even be able to add a codicil if it is only a small change you want to make, but most companies don't like doing that.0
