I have had to have my eyes tested and advised I now require glasses to correct my sight. However finances are such that the offers I was shown and on display were rather out of my budget range. I would like something stylish if possible. Can anyone recommend a source in London area for quality and at affordable prices please ?

If your prescription is the same for both eyes you really do not need to spend very much money at all. I need glasses for reading and I pick up really nice frameless glasses in my local market for anything from £1 to £5 a pair. They usually come in little tubular cases in an assortment of colours & I buy 5 pairs at a time. Alternatively have a look in your local chemists, some have a good selection, others not so good or perhaps have a look in the bigger Tescos or Asda branches. Pound shops sometimes have them too. I have to wear contact lenses to correct my shortsightedness and glasses on top for reading so I am used to spending a lot on eyewear however I have never spent more than £5 on reading glasses - why spend more, it's not as if you have to wear them all the time.0
