My local indian does a Bhuna made of lamb mince and peas. It is currently my fav dish. Does anyone have a recipe for a home made version, or is it likely to be a bespoke version only available at my local? If so what are the chances they would give me the recipe if I asked?

I made this once, I think it may have been a recipe from a Sainsburys mag last year that I used. I shall try to find it for you
It's on the Sainsburys website here. I used lamb mince instead and it was luverly
Here's a recipe for Lamb Bhuna, I would sub the diced lamb for lamb mince and cook for a little less time, chucking some frozen peas in about 10 minutes before end."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

My pleasure
Have updated post above with links. The Sainsburys one was lovely, really nice, I haven't tried the other though, so it's at your peril"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

I'd bet your local takeaway will give you the recipe - but it will be verbal, I'd guess.
I learned to cook Indian food by asking my local Indian supermarket ... "How do I ...?" and they told me. OK, it's slightly different for a supermarket, but ask the takeaway.
BTW I think this is technically a Keema Mutter - Google has some suggestions for that. To make it into a Bhuna, you just evaporate most of the liquid off.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Thank you Polly, will have a crack at this over the weekend.
And yes Debt_free it was a keema mutter - I couldn't remember the name. I can find it looking at the menu, but it goes out of my head when I dont have one to hand.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?"
