well thats it..... were bankrupt!

hey guys,

Me and oh are back and are now as of 13.50 officially bankrupt! It wasnt scary at all, the staff were lovely and explained everything to us, our app was at 1.15 but we got there at 12.50 went to the counter and the guy said he would see if he could get any body now for us (it was really quiet in there, no body else there) 5 mins later we were seen by a lady who looked through all our forms to check they were filled in, answered a few Q we had, we even forgot to date our forms and she did it all for us and DIDNT make us feel like we were wasting her time and should have done it ourselves. We then swore on the affadivit thing and she advised us that the judges were at lunch at the moment so if we came back at 2.10 the certificates would be ready and then we would have to go into a side room to speak with the or office. it was 1.30 by this point. so we went to the canteen for a drink and half an hour later went back. she came out and lead us to a side room and called the or office in leeds. she gave our bankruptcy ref no, names, and addresses and then passed the phone to us. We both spoke to the guy and he just asked about bank acc, if we had assets and asked where our wages were paid, he asked if we had any Q ect. he was really nice too and it didnt feel uncomfortable! he told us the or will contact us within 10 days to make an app. that was it, we left the court at 2.40. i was preparing myself for hours waiting and poss seeing a judge but it just went well and quick. It should feel like a big weight has been lifted but my partner is on sick at the moment and he has had a phone call this morning that has given us the impression that he is going to be laid off so this is a major set back and we now have this to worry about, but if it wasnt for that we would both be feeling great! just thought would share our experience as i found it helpful reading others! Kel xx
