tesco clubcard deals-irish ferries

Options
I'm just posting this as I'm a bit annoyed about this.
decided to use some clubcard points to put towards an irish ferries sailing.

Didn't realise they charge you an extra £30 on top of booking when you're using clubcard vouchers. It mentions £10 booking fee in the literature which they also charge. so on top of my £200 sailing I need to pay £40.

so i haven't saved that much afterall. I could've just got a promotional fare across!
Disappointed!!

hi where did you get the original booking cost from? did they quote you on the phone for that and then suddenly add another £40 on top of it? if so i would query why you were told a different price.
was it maybe a lot of time had passed between the quote and when you went to actually pay for it?

I have booked three trips so far using my clubcard vouchers with p and o irish sea from larne to scotland and they charge a different price to online as you get discount for online bookings. the telephone bookings are always dearer and then you pay a charge (usually £10) for doing it over the phone.

i had to phone and check the price first and then weigh up was it worth doing it with vouchers or going via internet offers.

Hi. We've been looking at prices for a few weeks now online and they are all pretty similar so we just ordered the clubcard vouchers and went online to find out prices and times of sailings. The price online is the price of the sailings. they just add on £30 supplement when paying with clubcard deals. I asked the lady to breakdown the total price for me and it was £200 + £10 +£30
I expected to pay the £10 as it says in t&c before you order but it doen't mention anywhere there is a £30 charge for using clubcard vouchers.
might think about P&o next time!

Found that on the "days out" the karting charges extra £2 for using the vouchers- nowhere in T&C s. Still a bargain but disappointing .
