Hi
i have just looked at an american diet ebook and i recommends Kashi cereal....for breakfast, for midmorning snack, to cook with to make cereal bars, to mix with meat to make meatballs and burgers.... it seems to be the new wonderfood!
has anyone ever seen this in the uk? I want to look at a packet so that i
know what grains are in it so i can make my own version......
or buy in bulk???
thanks

It certainly was available over here a few years ago - and jolly nice it was, too!
I'd be surprised if you couldn't get it still - maybe from health food shops?0 -
Yum, I love buckwheat but I'm the only one in my family who does. It does have a very distinctive flavour. You can buy it in Mr Ts and my Mr A sold it until recently, other branches may still have it.
I toast it then boil it up and mix it with fried onions, mushrooms, carrots tomatoes soy sauce and sage. Potatoes go well with it too.

Hi
thanks everyone but...
i don't think the product is buckwheat...
Kashi is the name of the company
Kashi makes cereals, crispbreads etc out of the mix of grains....
but i don't know what the grains are.....
has anyone ever seen it in the UK?

As this is a shopping thread rather than Old Style, I'll move it across for you

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I have seen kashi cereal in Waitrose if that helps.0

You can get Kashi in Waitrose and Asda, - I think I may have even seen it it Tesco. I love it and buy it whenever I see it, it's a bit like a healthier version of Sugar Puffs
Off the top of my head, I think there were a couple of versions of it, but I might be dreaming. Having said that though I haven't seen it for a while, but I think it's made/sold by Kelloggs so maybe a look at their website might help? 0 -
