Holiday while on JSA and insurance impact

Options
Hi there,

My mum and dad have booked a short break for me and my family down in devon at the start of August, unknowing to them, they booked it over my signing on day for jobs seekers allowance, I was wondering whether this will have any impact on my JSA? ( I believe you can have 14 days holiday in the UK without impacting your JSA) and more importantly I have redundancy insurance for my mortgage, so although I would love to go on the holiday, I wont if it impacts my insurance. I intend to take my laptop and continue to look for jobs on the internet while down there. Any helpful comments much appreciated.

There is a law which is for sickness and unable to sign on, i would go ask the manager of the jobcentre if this would work. if your still looking for work it should be ok.
    Owed out = lots.

I believe that you need to get a holiday form from the job centre to say when you are going. If you are still able to look for work and are available for interviews it should be fine.
