Remortgage

hello to all.2 years back i got a house for 105000 pounds 70000 was my money cash no mortgage and the rest was the councils to help me buy the property.at the moment i have to leave work to care for my twin boys who are ill.i want to Remortgage 70000 which is mine and buy the council out and do a extension.what would the banks let me borrow for Remortgage and do you have to be working is that a must.thank you in advance for any help ta.

If you want to remortgage then you need to have an income, will you have any?
I do not personally know this scheme but I guess I would also check that there are no penalties for repaying the council within a fixed period of timeI am a Mortgage Adviser
