Comet Clearance Auction Site - Mega Problems

Hi
I won an oven through the clearance-comet website (auction). On the listing this was described as 'Boxed and Unused' and further down the page described the item as 'Box Damage'
On Saturday the item arrived exactly as planned. The oven was wrapped in lots of bubble wrap and blue 'clingfilmy' stuff so without the drivers waiting ages for me to get the scissors and check it I signed for it and put next to my signature 'not checked'. I thought it was strange when I unpacked it as it wasn't in a box, when it had been described as boxed, however that was the least of my worries. On the front left hand side is a 3" scratch which is not a surface scratch, it is very deep. I took a picture on my mobile phone and it is even noticeable on here. On the front right hand side is another lighter scratch and on the handle on the front is another lighter scratch.
Sraight away I rung the delivery driver (he had rung me when he was an hour off). He told me to ring the 0844 number which I did, they then gave me an 0141 number and told me to ring that. I rung the 0141 number and there was a message telling me opening hours were 10-5 Monday to Friday. So, I email clearance@tiscali.co.uk in the meantime. What is strange is that the oven did not even come with an invoice or anything on it stating my name to distinguish it from anyone elses order. God help them if they had umpteen Delonghi Ovens on the lorry as someone has probably ended up with a box damaged oven only for a fantastic price and I've ended up with a scratched, unboxed oven that someone else should have. Also, the product report said the item had no dents, scratches, etc.... how they could have missed this I don't know!!! I wouldn't want it if it was free, it's so noticeable.
Today - literally from 10am I have been ringing the 0141 number and it either just rings and rings, or you get the answerphone message saying their office is shut and only open Mondy-Friday 10-5!!!! Rung back the 0844 number to say there is nothing they can do and to keep trying.
My neighbour came to see me after Comet left to say that the bolts from the oven were on the road! When I looked at these, these were the transit bolts that must of come off when they delivered the oven!
So - what do I do. Stuck with an oven I don't want, I want a refund!!! Been into Comet store too, who say they can't do anything either.

Don't worry I have had a similar problem with a past order and they arranged a refund without any problems. They are based in Glasgow as stated earlier. Now go and relax!Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
