You are all doing GREAT! I had a very pleasant surprise email yesterday and I hadn't thought to check my account until then - a payment for $104.90 transferred into £64.49 payment from website clicks via my G00gle adsense account! This is only the second payment I've had in 2009 but it's much better than not having had any payment and just in time for this challenge. Yeah! :T

My signature shows my total now standing at £831.41, which included a windfall £500. This means that my full year's cash neutral challenge stands at £2,187.77 spent and £1,793.97 recouped. I'm only £393.80 away from completely neutralising ALL my non-household spending to date in 2009. :D

Only 20 days to go!!! Mean I'd have to average £20.75 a day to reach target...not sure that's gonna happen, but will try my best. Listings on ebay tonight.

Everyone is doing REALLY well. Regardless of how much or even how little you accrue, as long as we treat it as extra help with the finances then every penny really does count.

My signature is a little confusing if you aren't on any of the other challenges I'm part of, so here's a brief explanation of how I work mine.
    Live on £4000 in 2009 - Day 280 - 83 days to go - £1,204.23 (£779.83)remaining
Grocery challenge £1200 in 2009: £1,108.18/£1200 for 3 adults (Struggling with this one)
    Cash neutral challenge: £1,793.97/£2,218.37 £1000 in 100 days: £831.41
    Get fitter, not fatter

I have an annual budget of £4000 for everything relating to running the house AFTER rent & council tax, so that's the budget I NEED to keep to in order to do what I want to do and be debt free. Of that £4000, I have £1,204.23 remaining to last me to the end of the year. You can see how much of that has gone on groceries. The 'cash neutral' part belongs with this challenge. Over the past 10 months I have spent £2,218.37 on other stuff - pets, garden, travel, entertainment, socialising, paying off bills etc but over that same period I have recouped £1,793.97 by doing this challenge all year round. That means that IF I had started off 1st January 2009 with £4000 as my absolute total for EVERYTHING then I'd still have had £779.83 left to last me until 31st December 2009 after incorporating my 'earnings' from here.

If the above is all just numbers to you then feel free to ignore it completely - I'm a debtfree wannabe number cruncher. I'm secretly hoping that I can be a debtfree cash-neutral person so my £4,000 + rent & council tax is ALL that I need to live from one year to the next - no debts, savings in the bank, extra spending only when I earn it through this type of challenge. :)

Sorry to have bored anyone. :D

There will be no new challenge thread when this one ends, as it's an on-going thing, but it's very like the £10 per day challenge, so you can always be part of that and average your earnings as you go. Good Luck for the next 18 days. There's time yet for a big wind fall. :)

Well done with all the eBay sales! I've come to the conclusion that I don't actually own enough to be able to sell the excess. :rotfl:
