I phoned my surgery this morning and my GP is booked up all week and then is off until 10th August! I have asked for a telephone consultation which will be late on Wednesday afternoon, hopefully he won't then ask me to go in.

Can everyone stop thinking they have swine flu please - some of us actually need to go to the doctors *rolls eyes* I think the media are sooooo overplaying it and scaring everyone!!!

No idea Ames..I asked them to play the tapes back and listen to what I was told,and found out why.They said their internal investigations will do whatever needs doing. I am to expect a letter from their complaints dept-yeah, the bog standard.."we messed up,we're sorry,it won't happen again" ..until it does.....doesn't explain either why they continually sent my pin nbr to the wrong address,up the road...does anyone know if you can request copies of everything/all they have on me / under a freedom of information type thing???

I know what you mean. I've never known my GP to be booked up all week :eek: Usually it's the next day you can get in!

there are so many people panicking unnecessarily. There's a thread on the house board where someone has asked about what should they do to prepare in case their removal firm can't move them because too many of the staff are sick on the day :rolleyes:

The worst part is, if you suspect you have swine flu then you shouldn't be going to the GPs anyway!

Back to work for me today, but first I have to fill in part of a job application as it was initially left out of the pack. I doubt I'll even get an interview but it's all experience I guess.
