Please be very very wary of this type of advertising. The company behind it uses it as a way of creating a database - a bank of potential customers. After all, if a name and address have been supplied, then that person probably has some form of hearing loss (as do over 9,000,000 people in th UK alone!).

Rest assured, it is unlikely that you will receive the "sample" in the post. It will come delivered to you, by appointment, in person. You will indeed receive it though - but note that it is a sample, it is not a hearing aid.

If you do indeed have a hearing issue, or live with someone who does, you best option is to go and see your GP first, who will refer you to the NHS if necessary or will recommend a private audiologist if you ask. Alternatively, you can go see a private audiologist yourself (free of charge at places like Boots and Specsavers) for a free test and advice.
