Stock cube for making pilau rice? & advice for Greek/Turkish style rice?

I'm sure there used to be a stock cube for making pilau rice.
I looked today & couldn't see anything like it.
Does anyone know if they still sell anything like this?

I've used the stock cubes before ( the others were good as well mexican and itallian - ithink) but i think they've stoped making them. Asda sell jars of pilau rice seasoning which is ok it's beside the herbs and spices at our local.:beer:0

I looked in Asda this morning, I will look again, next time I go there.
I think Knorr used to make the cubes.0 -

While we are on the subject of rice, you know where you are on a eastern med holiday & you order lamb or steak in a restaurant, & they serve it with salad & rice..............
How do they make that rice, whats different to normal rice? Its yummy with steak.0 -
I make a nice pilau rice by doing the following (and this out of an indian recipie book)
basmati rice
cumin seeds (1 tsp)
onions (1 chopped) - optional
chicken stock (I use oxo)
veg oil (1 tbsp)
heat oil, add cumin seeds and fry for 1-2 mins. Add onion (if using), stir and cook until soft. Add rice, stir for 3 mins. Add stock, bring to boil, then simmer until absorbed.
If the rice is not cooked after stock is absorbed, add more water
If you want it yellow add tumeric powder (1 tsp) before you add the rice
A tip when using basmati rice - if you check it and it looks like all water is absorbed, leave for another 2 min before turning/taking off heat.0
