Silly question?

We're trying to buy our 1st home and come out of our rented house but there will be a 2 week cross over when we will have our rented house and our new one. Our rent comes out in advance of us living there for a month, will the mortgage come out AFTER we've lived in the house for a month? I don't think I've worded the question very well, sorry, baby brain!!

It very much depends on when you move and when you have agreed (ie what day of the month) that your mortgage payments should be taken.

Example: I paid my last rent on 1st April which covered the rental property until 30th April.

I moved into the new house 21st April, the first mortgage payment was taken 1st May to cover the period 21st April - 31st May (£630 instead of £480).

    Hope that answers your question.
