can any1 tell me the order that bankrupy...

Im asking as im still undecided whether to go bankrupt or to pay a DMP for 21 years(and thats if they stop interest). CCCS said bankrupcy would be advised but dmp is ok if i think things will improve so i wanted to try that 1st.

Ok so from other posts u may see that i reallly need my car (sorry i keep going on about it). So i was wondering do u speak to the person that makes the decisions b4 u habd over any money eg the fees. I mean is there a 1st interview and they can tell me if I will lose the car or not?

Right we went BR on 2nd June, prior to this we filled in our forms and got together £510 each (u can get it reduce to £300 ish if your on benefits). Then we booked the court date, turned up handed our forms and money in, then waitied in the canteen. About an hour later the lady came in and said thats in all done.

Then later that day the OR called just to discuss what were doing account wise for wages and stuff.

Then the following week we got a letter with an OR interview date and time on.

That date was today we had a phone interview 2 weeks and 1 day after going BR and found out today we can keep our cars.

cheers so do you have any reason to keep the cars eg work etc or did they just say you can keep both as they where low value. Was the 2 cars something that you here anxious abot keeping?

Because we both work we have a use for both. I really wasnt concerned about either of the cars (there such low value), i'm just scared about loosing my home with a baby on the way.

Well if u rent ur house then no if ur not renting a 6 bed kinda thing, u can justify u need the size. But if u own on a mortgage like me if u have equity they can make u sell it to release the equity and pay your creditors. Fx ours is negative equity so we will be ok, but till i know for sure it's hard to relax.

Yeah it is very scary but it's and end to it all ifykwim?

im just renting so at least im ok there. Im just struggling in the fact that i dont want my mum to know as it will kill her. She wont sleep etc no matter if i tell her its all sorted (shes just that type of person)

We havent told my husbands mum either as she will worry to much. There are lots of reasons u could give ur mum other than br for why ur car has gone. Does ur mum read the local paper?

Sorry i shouldnt laugh but u know what i mean

It would be the likes of my aunts that i dont like would spread it thru the family just to cause trouble.

Sorry to hear about ur mum. Are they likely to do that? It's not printed in all local papers these days.
