    Hi all,

Lots of great stuff on the clearance stand for a change!
I also saw the fcuk, some half price, and 342, today.
A lot of Boots essential aromatherapy range was also half price on the SELs, including the body wash, room sprays etc.
Lots of electricals, hairdryers, depilators, straighteners, etc on the SELs with better than half-price tags on them. Plus the sonic toothbrush range, but this was at best half price, some of the items were maybe 1/3rd off.
On the clearance stand, I found Botanics day and night creams, plus day and night serums, for around £2 each. Some Nina Ricci and Clarins skincare, an Olay definitely foaming moisturiser?? This was £13 on clearance, no idea how much it usually is.

What I actually bought, was the last Nivea Gloss trio for £1 (can't remember how much they were when we were last searching for them, can you?). Plus Boots Vitamin E moisturiser for 15p (they were stickered at 39p, but the SA thought that was their normal price , so she reduced them to 15p for me), and an apple chapstick for 59p.

Just got some MAJOR bargains at my local store! Don't know if I should be posting this on here or not, but as they were clearance bargains (& we all know that these are store-specific) I don't want to start another thread about it!

    Got the following:

    Shop 1
2 x Time Delay Wrinkle Reducing Night Serum on clearance @ £1.50 each (Can't find it on .com, but the "Day" serum is £11.74)
1 x Time Delay Daily Brightening Cleansing Balm on clearance @ £1.75 (£6.84 on .com)
    1 x Sanctuary Foot Scrub £2.98 (reduced SEL - was £5.99)
    Total £7.73, earned 28 points & a Skinny

    Shop 2 & 3
L'Oreal Wrinkle De-crease + Collagen Filler Targeted Expression Line Programme (can't find this online, but the Collagen Filler is £15.67 alone & the Day Cream is around £10 - therefore £25 would be a realistic value for the set) on clearance @ £5.50
Used a Skinny, therefore just 50p to pay & earned a Skinny back each time!!

It was thanks to the lovely male SA that I got the bargains. He also tried to see if the Skinnies would work with the other Time Delay clearance, but they didn't. Just as he'd done the first shop, a female SA leaned over & said that she didn't think he could take the Skinny with the clearance item. He asked if it just that the till wouldn't do it or was it an instruction from Head Office, etc. The dragon SA just said "Well, its clearance & if it takes the £5.00 off, there'll be nothing left to pay". The male SA asked her if he should call over the manager to check & at that, she backed off. The absolute babe scanned the items then the Skinny & smiled when it went through, asking me for 50p! He was quite happy to do it, as long as the till said "YES" & then did the second one, whilst the Dragon looked on!! I thanked him profusely as I left!!

    In summary

    Spent £8.73
Original total value of goods £86.31
    TOTAL SAVING £77.58 & earned 3 Skinnies!!

Best shop I've had in ages! Makes up for the fact that I've not had any No 7 or Olay ACM vouchers to use on the recent bargains!

I'm missing the old thread. These smaller threads make life so much more difficult!

    Well done, suzi_69 :j

The clearance items are always worth posting about, although they are sometimes store specific it usually means that many other Boots stores will be clearing the same items as they are being taken off the store's sales plan.
I saw the same Sanctuary foot scrub reduced on SEL today too, also a foot spray and a couple of Sanctuary Sento items.

Also, bought a Roxy Love fragrance giftset for £4.99 and saw a Kelly Brook Vivacious set for the same price.

Dot com finally reduced the Dior J'Adore shower gel (in the summer sale section)to £13 today so grabbed one for free delivery to store.
Spoke to manageress in my local and she said that dot com are considering making free delivery to store with no minimum spend a permanent feature as it has been so popular.

On that note, keep an eye out for Imperial Leather stuff on clearance. A lot of IL stuff is on half (full) price. If there's any on clearance, the till takes off half the clearance price = pennies to pay! I saw bath foam and some shower gel on my travels.
Recent wins: iPhone 5s, iPad mini, Micro scooter, Commonwealth Games tickets, Magnum of Champagne, Skincare Set, Make up, £250 voucher

Isn't it interesting that dozens of people thanked Sally06 and Geordie Lass, and someone else for their posts, (sorry, terrible memory!) about having one thread for Boots stuff, and yet only one person thanked Andrea for hers, saying we should restrict it to the original item discussed?

Although the Olay Ole is a big saving, the OP who mentioned that some things are store specific is absolutely right.

I used to skim read Grabbit in the Ol' Days, when there was often 2 new threads a week (!) cos there were so many bargains. You would see something like Herbal Essences Shampoo (remember Shampoo Shirley!!), and think "Oh I don't use that/have got tons" and not bother, then nip on to the next post.

If we have loads of threads I'm gonna get mighty confused, and suspect others will too. Cos if you don't log on for a couple of days or nights, you've got to go through loads of back pages of the General Grabbit, to see if there was anything Boots related. It moves so fast on there.

Oh well, it seems that there are a few Highly Influential People that come on the Boots threads, and one word from them, and things get altered/removed very quickly. All I wanna do is share my bargains with others, and cheer those that got things. Shame, isn't it.

    xx

I have started a new thread on the site feedback and suggestions board, perhaps any further requests or suggestions for boots threads could be posted there ??

Sorry..but what's a skinny, and how do you get the £5 vouchers. I'm new to this section of the forum and I saw another Boots thread referring to skinnies and vouchers and would like to do what I need to do to get them.

    TIA
  • Hi for Sandra and anyone else that is interested the grabbit was not closed due to influential people as assumed, but for more obvious reasons and i have disscussed these with Andrea Mse via pm, if you would like a copy of the pm pls let me know via pm lol thanks.
So please again i humbly request that can we please keep this thread for either posting your boots bargains or boots chat or if you prefer please do start a new thread as suggested by Andrea mse, but i would hate to have to report a thread i started to abuse and so would really appreciate the help of all you lovely people, thanks so much and happy bootsing.
    Regards

    Nab
