SVR or Re-Mortgage?

Hi,

1st post on here, I haven't got too much of a head for complicated numbers, so keep it simple - ish!

I have a mortgae of £125K (which is 2 sub mortgages, as had extra lending last year for extension to house). I am tied into one of them for another couple of years (can't remeber exact day) From memory it would cost me less than £800 in fees to move that part of the mortgage, the other half is free to move.

I am with C&G, the one part is on 2%, and other 2.5%. My mortgage advisor is keeping me updated on rates, and for a 5 year fixed they seem to be on the increase.

My view is to stay on the SVR, but don't want to get caught out if rates start to fly up.

I am just after a general consensus of what others are doing at the moment.

Many Thanks

Steve
