Credit Reports

Hi there

I went onto Equifax a couple of weeks ago when I was applying for a mortgage to look at my credit report. I downloaded my report but of course had to put my card details in and set up an account to do it. I've just been reading on this site about how you can cancel your account with Equifax if you ring a number but I've been on hold for 1/2 hr which is probably costing me more than it would to just keep the account open for the rest of the year. Does anyone know of any other way you can cancel?

Thanks
Clare

Hi Clare & welcome to MSE.

Could be wrong but I think you can cancel via email

I have tried to cancel via email twice and have not received confirmation from them and the account has remained active so I would def reccommend ringing them and making definitely sure that your account is cancelled and you wont be charged!
