Dollond & Aitchison - free eye test and nectar points

I cannot give you the link to the voucher BUT. I logged onto their site and registered my details two days ago. Today I got an e-mail offering a free eye test, (£27.50) 500 nectar points AND 20% off glasses (£100 or more) and another 5000 nectar points.

They also appear to have two pairs for the price of one.

When I rang they said the free eyetests were only between 9 and 10 but I said I could not go then and they moved it to lunchtime.

So... tip. register your e-mail details at Dollond and Aitchinson site and keep fingers crossed for free eyetest offer.

Good luck!

    This is odd.

I've been searching the D&A and Nectar sites (not to mention voucher / hotdeal sites).

I can find no trace of the free test +500 free point promotion, which is a great deal if you get that e-mail. I haven't seen them offer a truly free test for some time - there used to be coupons for it in countless magazines.

Nor could I find anywhere on D&A to register for e-mail offers.

I'm already on the Nectar e-mail database as I got their current D&A offer yesterday. Which only features the same lame deal as the D&A promotions page - 2000 points + 'free' eye test ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE GLASSES.

I fear that post-merger, with D&A being phased out and rebranded as even worse value 'Boots Opticians', D&A offers are phasing out too.

If anyone knows how I can get the free D&A test (without buying glasses), by coupon or e-mail, do tell. My local branch is superb - the latest test gear and the optician is first rate too.

The D + H vouchers have been around for a while now.
Got my free test in April and extra points but they did not have the glasses I wanted at a price I was willing to pay, so took my prescription next door to Specsavers for the reaction glasses I wanted.
It is a great deal, but D+H prices for glasses even when on offer are far to high.

i got the free eye test and points then there were more points and 20% off the glasses on offer... Took my presciption elsewhere as I really only need part-time reading glasses!
