sorry i just want to know how they were stolen
I left the pile in the trolley so presumably somebody pinched it..
Watch out, thief is wandering around and pinching your stuff... In fact, emails went around warning people thieves were walking in tescos and stealing shoppers bags, wallets, etc. from esp. trolleys!! I received the email but never thought I would become a victim coz I always thought clubcard vouchers can ONLY spent together with my clubcard! (Apparently, a lot of people think the same...)0 -

According to Tesco, this person/thief bought something on-line and the goods were sent to an address. This is what they called postal order...0 -

Yes i thought that too,
so sorry to hear about your stolen vouchers I do hope tescos will reinburse you0 -
Sorry to hear about the theft of your vouchers.
It would cost Tesco too much time and money to investigate the CCTV trying to identify the person that cashed in the vouchers.
And would the Police be interested?
They are not interested when online fraud takes place with credit cards so for £51 Tesco Clubcard vouchers you haven't got a chance.
And isn't there something in the T&C saying Tesco Clubcard vouchers belong to Tesco at all times and can be recalled at anytime. This would make it theft against Tesco rather than yourself, and would it come under a civil matter rather than criminal?0 -
If you left £51 in cash in your trolley and it was stolen would you expect the Bank of England to reissue you with new money?
You wouldn't expect a cashier to check every serial number on every bank note they took to cross reference it with a list of stolen ones, so how can you expect them to go through a whole wad of Clubcard vouchers and check every single 18 digit Clubcard number? That would just be insane.
I would imagine the vouchers remain the property of Tesco at all times anyway, so I'm not even sure you could report it to the police as a theft. Just learn and move on.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0 -

Do cashiers have to check 18 digit all the time? I don't think any cashier will be that 'responsible' in Tescos. In fact, it takes only a second to find out the owner's NAME on the voucher is different from clubcard's. I believe many people had experience of being questioned by cashiers in Tescos about vouchers/clubcards.. my sis was questioned simply because her vouchers code is different from her clubcard's (her card was changed once), even with the same owner's name.
It is just a matter if Tescos cashiers are responsible or not!0 -

Did say that no clubcard had been used at the time, (and customer services at my store confirmed that you can use cc vouchers without using a clubcard at same time!) However, I ALWAYS use my vouchers as deals, never in store, and they did say that these would be reimbursed with next statement. Obviously I was lucky.
They also promised me that they would reimburse it to me, after having checked with their supervisor. However, when I rang again to confirm, the supervisor (not sure if a different one) has decided not to reimburse... You need to make sure they will ACTUALLY do as what they said.0 -

But I would expect the Police to do something about it- such as demand to see the CCTV from the store- then make arrests as appropriate.
Tesco seem to be a law unto themselves in this case.0 -
If the person who spent the vouchers had stuff delivered to an address, won't it be easy to trace them? Or did you say they used their own clubcard too?0
