Estee Lauder double wear light

I got a sample of this from the EL counter, I am a big fan of both Double wear powder and Double wear liquid which I mix with primer for a less thick finish, however both products can give me spots, kind of under the skin bumps not normal spots, I know its these products cos when I give them a rest the bumps go.

Anyway, thought I would try the light version the SA recommended intensity 3 cos I'm quite tanned and don't do pink based foundations she also said they come out a lot lighter on the skin, well, she was spot on with the colour but when I used it yesterday I found it didn't cover thread veins and was quite patchy by lunchtime, thought I would give it another go today and put a considerably thicker layer on and a bit more as a concealer over the thread veins, this has done the trick beautifully and so far it looks really fresh with full coverage but no heaviness and it doesn't sit in any lines:TShe actually gave me two samples so will stick with this for a while and see if I get bumpy skin - just thought I would share and I'll report back in a week or so:)

  • I am a huuuge fan of Double Wear Light, I hate heavy make-up but need something that still has a bit of coverage due to spots/redness etc. I've certainly had no spots from it since I started using it. Plus it doesn't melt off - my last face product was a tinted moisturiser and if I got hot and sweaty it would melt off. This, not so!

I probably sound like a mad woman raving on about it here but I just can't get enough of it, it is brilliant.

  • I don't wear foundations or tinted moisturiser as I find my skin dosen't like it. I tend to now just wear makeup which dosen't include foundation.

  • This foundation is amazing it's brilliant....love it...dont need to top up through out the day either...what I put on in the morning it stays till I take it off that night or the next morning when I get home from a Night out..... I wear desert beige double wear...I had a tester pot to take with me as I have really sensitive skin and normally foundations and make up always react with my skin however this doesnt...you dont need to pile it on either so it last months!!(",)

This thread got bumped anyway so just thought I would say that I have found a alternative, if not better, to double wear powder its Anew by Avon long lasting powder and it costs £10, cant see it in the book but is defiantly online.

I'm having a very thick day today:confused:, what does *subscribes* mean in relation to this thread?

I think Tara has the forum set up so that she automatically subscribes to any threads she posts on, which means she gets email updates when someone else posts on the thread.

You don't need to post on the thread to subscribe though. At the top of the page there is a 'thread tools' option (next to the no. of views) and there is an option to subscribe there.

Was just mopping the kitchen floor and it popped into my head what it means, she agrees with liking double wear, I blame my slowness on too much work and a whole day spent in Ikea yesterday:rotfl:or is it what pollyskettle suggested and I'm even worse than I thought:o

I have never been able to find doublewear cheap anywhere, online or otherwise the best I've managed is freebies from the EL counter or website when ordering.
