i'm having the same problem with mine, by what has been said on here i'm going to ask them to come and collect it, i'm not happy about keeping it plugged in all of the time, it interferes with my phone line and broadband, and not to mention the electricity it's costing, i don't know what the rewards are because they don't send a catalogue any more, you have to check on their website, i can't even login because they are having technical problemsi have had the scanner for a while but it has not been connecting, have been called up everyweek since i have had it, had a new phone adaptor, an extension and still not working, tried taking the battery out as they requested and they said if that didnt work i may need a new scanner so am gonna have to call them up again! starting to wonder if it is worth it!
what do others think i should do
wins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0 -
Last week I finally received a call saying that my scanner was going to be delivered today(Thurs 5th Feb). I have waited in all day- and there's still no sign of it. Having read all of your posts, I don't think it seems worth all of the hassle!! Do you think I should just refuse delivery when or if it ever comes?0

the thing i didn't like was that you have to keep it plugged in to the electricity and the phone line all the time, when i finally managed to get on the website and saw what rewards there were, i think it was costing me more in electricity than i would be earning, i rang them to come and collect the scanner, the woman on the phone was quite stern, and she never even asked me why i didn't want to do it anymore, they are collecting mine on monday, i wonder if they will turn upLast week I finally received a call saying that my scanner was going to be delivered today(Thurs 5th Feb). I stopped doing this a year and a half ago. I found it far too time consuming for the rewards offered. In fact I never actually managed to claim a reward as they were out of stock when I tried to order then my points becam out of date! This is something I would not do again, I hate putting shopping away at the best of times but having to scan it all into that machine made it even more of a chore!0

I do this and so far have had 4 cinema vouchers and one of those posh chrome bins. I certainly don't scan everything I buy, after all how do they know if I do or not? It's a case of doing what is needed to equate what you get out of it.0

I just had a phone call about this, but reading all the posts it doesn't sound like much fun. I asked the lady on the phone what you could earn and she didn't know! So I asked how much money its equivalent to earning per week, and she didn't know that either! I do the national shopping monitor now and thats not too much hassle. Maybe I'll just stick with that.0

to be honest i have just left them - the scanner never worked and was forever getting calls from them telling me to do different things and then lsat week they said it was cos i had wireless internet and was interfering with it and could i turn it off over the saturday night - which i cant as we have several people in the house and got rid of it. was more trouble than it was worth!£27.76/£2018 in 20180

You don't need to keep it plugged into the electricity - I only plug mine in on a Saturday night until the Sunday morning when they dial in for the data! (I used to leave it plugged in the whole time until I realised when they requested data!). I've been with Factfinders for about 8 years now - I'm only doing it for the cinema vouchers - they work out the best value - I can probably get around 10 a year which works out around £65 saving!
However....I've also had a bike, a workbench, a Le Cruesette pan and a few other things. Cinema vouchers are definitely the best for a moneysaver in terms of the value to points ratio!:D0 -
