Just come back from a last minute shopping trip to my local Tesco Metro, and they are marking down everything in sight; was a bit of a scramble but came out with a load of Tesco Finest salmon, mostly 75% off or more, and a few bits and pieces I can put in the freezer. All the packaged fruit and veg was going for pennies.
Worth a look if you are heading out this afternoon

You should have been in Tesco's around 3.30pm. All the half price fresh turkeys got reduced again. So a turkey that was originally £23.00 went down to £4.80 etc. Next year I wont be buying mine early again and paying full whack, I'll wait till christmas eve.0

Our tesco extra reduced nothing...a completely wasted trip0

It really is a lottery I think. Wouldn't want to leave the essentials until last minute, but did pick up a few bargins in Sainsbury this lunchtime.
Fresh turkeys were being reduced by 50% but were flying off the shelf. We got one to hack up and freeze for later. Also got some lamb chops, chipolatas and chestnut stuffing reduced by 75% too.
Managed to get an organic free range goose in Asda a few days ago, reduced from £30 to £20. Never had it before, thought we'd give it a go for Xmas lunch.
Had a quick trip round Tesco and Asda, but not much there really.
Shops all shut now. So if we haven't got it....we'll somehow have to struggle through the whole couple of days without it0 -
