I should go and threaten the ironing pile with my new Tefal steam generator iron :rotfl:

This reminded me that I ironed a shirt for my OH this morning, this is quite an occasion as I never ever iron anything, I did it really badly and got fake tan on it :rotfl:so doubt he'll ask again not that I meant that of course;)

  • No glowgirl, he's not enjoying himself, he rang about 11 last night, says he'd enjoying the activities but hates the food and the bed and can't wait to come home. He also told me he loves me whilst his friends where in the room (insert shocked man here) and normaly he won't admit to knowing me.

I've calmed down a bit now re the doctor, okay he does think he has a genetic order, but what i have figured out is with or without it he won't be treated any differently, he's still Luke. I just expected more with the advances in todays medicine, i also expected the doctor to be a little more informative. I am reserving my fight to speak to his headteacher rgarding his class teacher, the way she has treated him is appalling and is the main reason i fought to move him to a specialist school, where teachers understand his need for sameness and routine, and treat him with respect and not a major inconvinience.

Soz to waffle on, so much is going on!!!

Goanmad, what have you purchased today then??

Glowgirl, day 2 on atkins and i feel a bit odd, bit shaky and my heads sore!!!

Thanks everyone for your supportive comments i feel a bit :) now

Hi Sharon, atkins is a pig the first few days if not the first few weeks, headaches, bad mood, fed up, feeling out of it, nothing really helps until you see the weight drop off and your body becomes used to it, I have a reaction similar to those when I first started atkins if I eat anything wheat based now so its swings around. I cant remember if they say to weigh yourself weekly but i found daily was best as it spurred me to stick with it, I lost roughly one pound every two days. Just thought as well, have you given up sugar? Its the worst one to do and I still haven't managed it myself and quite frankly don't want to cos I am so horrible to live with when I try, splenda is the best substitute if you do.

If I can help in any way re your son then I would be happy to offer advice, I was Chairman of Special Needs at my daughters school and worked closely with the senco and did a lot of training on aspergers and other learning difficulties, I was also on the board for teachers disciplinary hearings so may be able to help there too although I have since moved away I am still in touch with the headteacher of the school and the chairman of the school is my best friend so I can ask confidential questions if I need to:)

Maybe the week away from the home comforts wont do the kids any harm;) You can of course pm me:)

Sharron - sounds like a complete mare. Was it a geneticist or a paediatrician you saw?

I worked a nightshift last night and have been doing house work since I got up so very unfashionista today.

Trusty desert boots - about £30 from DP's. It's not often I spend this on shoes. I either go very cheap throw away price or stupidly expensive.
Orange t shirt - £2 from New look.
faded holey jeans - £10 from New Look
Black Calvin Klein socks - present from my mum (bizarre - designer socks in plain black - why?)

no jewellery apart from wedding & engagement ring.

I'm working outdoors for the next three days so need to wardrobe plan...

    Turquoise halter top, Primark
Maternity jeans, indigo but faded from constant wear, Next
    Navy blue bamboo sandals, Accessorize

I would like to issue a plea in the hot weather. While walking back to the apartment just now, I saw two girls. One was wearing a strapless top, the other a backless top. Both had visible bras, one white, one greying, each bra showing far more than just a strap. If I can read your bra size from the label, too much is hanging out. Please, keep the undies on the underside.

Although not greying I often show more than a bra strap, especially with sheer tops or dresses in fact I often match the colour of my bra with my outfit for this reason - oh dear - my bad;)

I've been very unfashionista for the last 3 days! Had on cropped dark jeans with french connection low back charcoal top. Alternated with sandals and pumps depending on the wet. Have also needed to wear my big waterproof today as it was piddling down. In total I think I've had about 12 hours wear out of the outfit! I'll change tomorrow but the jeans won't go in the wash yet (remember our discussion about washing them!).
Tomorrow night is my last night shift until after the weekend (not sure when I'm back though!) and I can't wait to have Sunday off. Lots to do hence no posting for a while. TTFN peeps!

I'm currently slobbing around in a really ancient pair of 3/4 length black pj bottoms from Warehouse, a vest top (Dotty P's) and odd socks (I never wear matching ones). Do I fail the fashionista test? :o
