Thursday 16th July - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning DFWs!
Well......today *should* be my performance management review - you must be sick of me saying that!! I'm not worried about it, it's just that everyone else has had theirs so I felt left out;):D
Not much else on today - except for my Next sale VIP slot later.....woohooo:rotfl:
So, here's todays list:

Morning all :j
Hope to work at home again today, as I got loads done yesterday. However, that depends on whether I am called in to help start something else
I am starting to make an impression on the workload, which is just as well, as I have just worked out I have only 9 'official' days left at my job (impending redundancy 31 July)! Needless to say, I will have to work 'unofficial' ones as well to get it all done, even if they don't keep expecting me to start / get involved in new stuff, but at least I can see an end to it now. Weirdly, I will be a bit sad to leave, as I have worked there for quite a while and do like the people
So, today I have / will:
Check online banking and move money from old, poorly paying savings accounts that I closed yesterday to ISA (done)
See to animals and plants
HM meals from stores
I hours housework towards onslaught of visitors at the weekend
Make a start on report for consultancy contract, which is also coming to an end :T
Think about whether to accept interview offered for new PT job. I applied to the OU ages ago to work for them again, and had pretty much forgotten about it to be honest. However, I now have a full time, full on new job which starts on 3 August, and no doubt there will be things to finish off from where I am at the moment as well (I don't escape that easily). Common sense would indicate that I should ring the OU and politely decline - except that I really want to work for them again, and if I bailed out of new high powered job at some stage (might happen ) I would have it to fall back on. Also, because of the way the courses are organised, and my age, I may well not get another chance for an interview
I am not complaining about this potential surfeit of jobs - I realise I am very lucky indeed to have a good job to go to immediately after my redundancy date - but wonder why I always end up working so hard at a time in my life when I would like to start to take things a bit easier.
Anyway, that is my dilemma for today, or one of them. Any thoughts?
Have a nice day everyone :hello:0 -
