Tesco. 25p Hamster Ball!

Hi,

Went into Tesco yesterday and got my daughters hamster a ball to play in for 25p!! Can't go wrong really. She had great fun putting him in and letting him run around the bedroom. These are for normal size hamsters not the dwarf ones (smaller balls can be bought for them but not from tescos and not 25p!) And please never put a guinea pig in one, they are not suitable.

Tip: you may find it best to put sellotape around the join, once the hamster is in. This will stop events like the never-to-be-forgotten "hamster under the sofa for 2 days" gig at our house.

Ours was very intelligent and worked out how to crash into the furniture fast enough that the two halves fell apart.

(and for all you wags out there....NO, you just put the sellotape on the ball, not on the hamster!)

Pets are more intelligent than we give them credit for - we had two cockatiels (now down to one unfortunately) and when they were young we had to put padlocks on the doors to the cage, one day we watched as one of them lifted the door open and let the other one out, and the second one held it open for the first one! So wish we had filmed it!
