Aron, thanks for the laugh. I suspect that a couple of years ago you were getting great marks from your English teacher for creative writing. Your form tutor, though, probably expressed reservations about your relationships with your peers.

Finally, back to aron, who wins this week's bad taste award. My mother, aron, lived through World War Two. Perhaps she experienced a different kind of "shelter" than the one you implied.

And tomorrow morning, when you can't find two matching socks, just remember the people who ensured that you are free to moan about it.

Are they worth a little civility?

Thanks again to those who offered advice and/or comfort. The matter is being dealt with.

Well spoken - just ignore the little boy aron, he has 119 posts of which 118 are abusive to other posters. he will be gone soon enough. Like you say, he may be speaking German if it weren't for the older generation but then most gobby little hoodies think they are better than others and have no respect - maybe a little National Service would instill manners and respect back into the youth of today/tomorrow.....
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o

France has only this year doubled its penalties for failure to report foreign bank accounts, life insurance policies etc on Form 3916 - at least we don't have those kind of reports here in the UK. I assume that the UK based accounts are - indeed - being disclosed in France?

France may take a different approach to life but it is no better at bureaucracy than the UK.

While none of us of any age like getting "official" letters, the OP has failed to tell us on what grounds s/he considers her/himself non-UK resident or indeed the precise wording s/he disliked. Without such details the OP seems to most on this forum to be "ranting"...
