Hi,
Has anyone seen any gooseberrys (fresh not tinned) in any of the supermarkets.
I remember years ago you used to have them growing wild on waste land or down to bottom of the garden, have'nt seen any for years and now my elderly mother has a yearning for some.

Waitrose have fresh gooseberries at the moment - either in the Essentials or the Cook's Ingredients range, not a bad price (£1.99 from memory), near the strawberries and raspberries in my local branch. If you leave them for a few days they ripen enough to be delicious eaten raw.0

My local Morrison's have them, £1.99 for a punnet. Love gooseberries, just wash & eat them as they are, lush.£365 in 365 days challenge member
