    Hello

I use Think Banking ... they charge £12.50 pr month & £25 set up ..

i have had no problems with them and there customer service is excellent ... you get a maestro debit card and they also split your account in 2 one for your bills and the other for your card... You have internet & phone banking as well ... They also text to your mobile when any money is paid ino your account

sorry i am not saying that they are bad i just mean that for some people 12.50/month may be a bit much for them to account as an expenses.

I don't work i am benefits and i don't notice it at all .. Its a small trade off as they do look after your account and they are allways very polite and quick to answer any of your questions... So it's a small price to pay ... I was with the nationwide before and and had lots of fail dd's and got myself in a mess... Since moving to think banking a year ago it's been amazng and there is no worry about bill payments as they look after it... so in my mind the fee is worth every penny most of my family now use think banking .. :)

    HI,

I got stung by one of these companies a couple of years ago. I was looking for an acct with a debit card. Paid £30.00 sent in all my details to find out that it was a Natwest Step Acct that I could have ipened in branch at no cost. Only I never knew it existed...

As Fatou256 has said, Barclays & Co-op both do accts with debt card, internet banking (Co-Op) for no set up fee. Accts can usually be opened within a week.

The thinkbanking account is a managed bank account service held with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group but managed and provided by Think Banking Ltd. thinkbanking is an independent company and is not part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

As i said i have never had a problem with them, I looked around and did my research before signing up and they seemed to be the best .. for what i needed...

They take there set up and monthly fee from your 1st payment into the account..

    hi kw899899,,

I use think banking (unfortunately none of the free banks would take me)... The only thing to note is that when you pay cheques in they usually take upto 10 days to clear and not the usual 3...

Also, if you open an account with them request a paying in book straight away as you can't pay in using the normal slips in a Nat West Bank.... but you can in a Royal Bank of Scotaland Bank (that's where they put your money)...
