Very tricky, as has been said, some sort of traditional cake would be your best bet.0 -
Creme fraiche (ie double cream) is slightly soured in France/switzerland and might not taste exactly the same to you and me as double cream in the Eton Mess, but hey ! they wouldn't know, would they ? and they must like their cream like that or they wouldn't have it like that. I had some Eton mess with raspbs yesterday and it was wonderful.....Or do scones and jam with imported clotted cream which won't leak all over your bags and would surely keep good for a couple of days ( they used to post it from devon in tins in the old days so I think it keeps quite well for a day or two). What a challenge for you - I hope it's very good fun !0
