Mother of the bride

Can anyone recommend a brand or shop for good priced mother of the bride outfits? So far my mom has looked at places like Monsoon, M&S, Littlewoods, Debenhams etc and found a few possiblities but I was wondering if anyone knew of a lesser known online store, shop or designer we should check out. Where has other B2B's mothers got their outfit from?
Maybe we could use this thread to post pics or post suggestions?

i'm blooming knackered, we took mil shopping today for her outfit:eek:. we we're walking around the gyle and livingston for more than 4 hours and she didn't get anything other than slippers:rotfl:.
we saw loads of nice outfits but she said she wouldn't wear them again, which turned into a joke as she has a wardrobe full of stuff she has only worn once. she didn't want a skirt suit or trouser suit, which she had more chance of re-wear with either the trousers or skirt. the dresses either had too thin straps / too bling or too short. they had to be below the knee she says as she's 69. the thing is she doesn't look anywhere near her age and on the knee would be fine.
she is soo fussy, so looks like next week we are off to edinburgh to hunt this elusive outfit. anyone got any tips? married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09

I would say take her straight to CCs!! My Mum and MIL couldnt get anything to fit them anywhere else (both mid fifties) and this store definitely caters for the more mature figure! Most of the dresses have a small sleeve and they're all below the knee. They do a really good selection of little dressy jackets and shrugs to complement the outfits so that she wont need to have bare arms on show!
This is the link to my wedding pics, in the 3rd one you can see my Mum in her CCs outfit (and the top of MIL's!) It was so flattering, she felt a million dollars in and received loads of complements.

well my mum is not going down the mse route at all......infact I think the outfit she has her eye on is more expensive than me dress!!!!!! lol
but we are taking future mil out outfit shopping soon, and I know she will want to do it mse style lol so we are taking her to the designer outlet in swindon, there are some really nice shops there but at much more sensible prices

I love that place! I really regret moving from Swindon down to Devon. There's no shops here like there is in Swindon. Plus they're bigger shops there! What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0
