Somewhere to eat near Barton Mills travelodge?

Options
I know there is a Little Chef ,but anyone know anywhere else to eat nearby?
(This weekend).
We will be eating early evening 6-7pmish and will be with my elderly parents and DD (9).
I'd Appreciate any local knowledge!

I dont know the area that well but I am sure there are a few pubs around. You are near Mildenhall and Lakenheath air base so there must be some places around there.

You could head to Bury St Edmunds, be a bit of a drive, but I think that would probably be your best bet. Its a nice little town, it must have some good places to eat but I dont live round there so I am not 100% sure

    Thanks , your a 'jem' !
I did an internet search myself but only came up with a 'hungry horse' pub at Mildenhall
and I'm not that familiar with them.
We don't want to go further afield if we can help it.

If your parents don't mind roughing it a bit, there's the notorious Red Lodge Transport Cafe about 5 miles South of Barton Mills.

    Then again...... Maybe not :D

My Dad would be in his element - he used to be a coach driver .(Well depending what you mean by notorious!)
Not sure about the rest of us though.
Perhaps not quite what I had in mind!
