Wednesday 15/7/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning lovely dfw's:D:D:D

    Morning all :j

Thanks for starting the thread SM, hope your meeting goes ok and your headache goes away. Good luck re the review Milly - the fact that there seems no urgency to do it suggests to me that your bosses think that you are doing fine - if there was a problem I am sure they would find time :rotfl:

Didn't get round to posting yesterday as very busy and early start. However, today I have / will:

Check online banking (done, as expected)

See to animals and plants (done)

Can work from home today, saving petrol and travelling time :j I have a long list to plough through and hopefully no interruptions.

HM meals from stores and garden.

    NSD? Hopefully.

Close some old, poorly paying savings accounts and pay small amounts of money into shiny new one :j

Do 1 hour's housework towards the weekend onslaught of visitors.

Put washing from yesterday (nearly dry) on airer to finish off, as it looks grotty outside.

Not too ambitious a list, as so much work to do. Must get on!

Have a nice day everyone :hello:

Well migraine went too bad to be driving so cancelled for meeting, developed dicky tum with it too so didn't fancy being stuck on motorway and feeling yuk. Head feeling a little better now after few hours lie down in dark room but still feel nauseous. So now have a day off to recover.Hate having a day off work when you feel too ill to do anything.

In good news postie brought me a £60 refund on my car tax from crashed car:j, and also pay slip with training bonus on it - so £150 extra in salary :jeven better as I had been told this was £75 but apparently it was £75 for each module (x2 ) so nice surprises when I was feeling carpy.

Fay - well done on scary loan payment - almost gone now:j:j
