Another Council Tax question

Hi,

Date is booked for 27 July. Received a court summons for 29th July for liability order for Council Tax for 2009 - 2010. I have just made an arrangement to pay the arrears, but:

1) Would just the arrears be included as no liability order has been granted yet

or

2) The whole debt be included as Council have applied for Liability Order though it will not be granted till 29th?

    Hi,
Your council must have already issued a final bill ( 2 missed instalments plus 7 days) so therefore all your liability up until end of March 2010 will be in your BR.

Thank you, I just wanted to check what I would still have to pay.

So now I redo my SOA & leave council Tax as £0?

    HI,

Just one more q that I though of.

If my council tax goes into my BR, what happens to any CT benefit that I have been awarded? It's already been deducted, would I be expected to pay this back?

No. Your CTB would be re adjusted and removed along with your liability. Any amount of CTB applied to any of this years liability up until the final notice was sent would still be valid.
