Passport size photos

Thought this might be useful. My son has just bought a young persons rail card and needed passport size photo. This would have cost £5 at the photo booth. We scanned in his current school photo, reduced it to correct size and printed out on glossy photo paper (which I got free with the printer years ago.) It was accepted quite happily.

This is useful for all the clubs/cards he has to join

Hang a white sheet over a door and photo all the family using flash on your digital camera with them stood against it .

Using your cameras software or Irfanview etc you can get loads of passport sized photos on 1 A4 glossy sheet. Cut with scissors or cheap photo cutter from your local £1 shop .
