  • Hi there. Any Advice?? I bought a car from Fords of Winsdford last year. We are in fininacial difficulties at the moment and rand to inform the finance company (creation) that we couldn't pay this months installment and if that meant losing the car we understood. We were told it wasn't HPI and was a personal loan so the car was ours. so long as we managed to start making the payments again we could do what we wanted with the car. Subsequently we got a buyer for the car only to find that they have actually listed our car as having outstanding HPI on it!!! If we'd have sold it to a private seller believing it was clear of attched finance this could have caused lots of problems. As it is they have hung up the phone twice now so we cannot speak to anyone regarding this.
  • Hi, I was looking up the creation Finance website to make the payment on line to clear finance taken over the 'year and a day'. I found the Money Expert website and im glad I read the forum regarding trying to make payments and the cheeky extra charge the company impose when you pay online. As I was making this payment early I wanted to avoid any extra charge so rang them and asked for the info needed to make a Bill Payment through my bank. They didn't understand what Bill Payment was so I called it a Standing Order. They sent the required banking details including the account reference (this is most important as it relates to your agreement number and ensures the payment reaches its correct destiation). I set it up and paid and the money was received within four working days. Job done and no extra charges. Ive not quoted their banking details in case they change but for anyone who wants to pay before the due date and avoid additional charges phone them and obtain the standing order details.
    Hope this helps x
  • Saw your posting too late. Just cleared my balance with Creation Finance which had to include £19 admin fee + £ 3 for paying on line using Maestro. This equates to nearly 3% interest per annum. So much for interest free credit. Shopkeepers do not explain this and hard to find in the small print when it is too late

I to did not think to check this website and saw the post too late. paid off my tv and didn't see the admin charge 4% which put another £32 on the bill. a real sickner considering the laser store where I bought the tv advertised it as intrest free and even a" total to pay" and not as admin ripoff which it should have been. Surley they should have been obliged to tell you these things upfront. I will never deal with either again and will make a point of telling everyone I know, what a ripoff they are.
