Supermarket Pay Rates

Hi, does anyone have any information as to current supermarket pay rates? I'm working on a pay rate comparison between retailers and am finding it difficult to come by the correct rates! Somerfield, Tesco, Asda, Lidl, and Morrisons would be a great help, thanks. The pay grade i'm looking for is the standard cashier/shelf stacker rates for both evenings, daytimes and night work. Thanks in advance for any help!

From what I have heard and read, Aldi pay about the best rates (£8 per hour if I am correct), but they do expect you to be flexible as far as duties and hours are concerned. I know a couple of people who worked for Morrisons, and they were on minimum wage or just above, and were not really happy about the working conditions.0 -
thanks for that, does anyone else have any info on this?0

It also depends on your age0

Tesco pay is made up of base pay + location pay, so it really depends on your age and location....in central london its around £7.30 for day timers..0

Somerfield is minimum wage for this type of employee, regardless of whether they work day/evening.:A:A:A:A:A:A0

Morrisons where I live (not London) pay £6 p.h. for an 18 year old shelf stacking - day or evening.0
