My Credit file

I have a lot of settled credit accounts showing on my report. Should I write to the companies and have them removed? Also, for some reason Natwest are showing 3 payments late on my report. This is bizarre as the debt on that current account was from when I was in unemployment, they kept applying bank charges and then interest on top of it. We failed to come to any kind of acceptable arrangement during this period and I now have a loan with them to repay this now I'm back in work (which i really grudge paying given it's for bank charges and interest the kept applying despite me sending them numerous letters explaining the problems i was having). Since this loan has started, I have not missed any payments. I would appreciate advice on how I should proceed with both of these issues.
